Maryland Medicaid deadlines tracked for you: Maryland Medicaid fee-for-service claims generally must be received within 12 months of the date of service. Rejected or denied claims can be resubmitted within the later of 12 months from service or 60 days from the last rejection, and Medicare crossover claims within the later of 12 months or 120 days from the Medicare remittance. We track every claim against the right limit.
Interest on late commercial payments: Maryland requires interest on clean claims not paid within 30 days, rising from 1.5 percent per month for days 31 to 60, to 2 percent for days 61 to 120, and 2.5 percent after that. We flag late claims and make sure the interest is paid.
